The Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies has announced that Professor Winnie (Chi-Man) Yip, of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, will serve as interim faculty director for the Fairbank Center beginning on September 1, 2020, for one year while faculty director Michael Szonyi enjoys a well-deserved sabbatical. Winnie has been an active member of our community doing groundbreaking research on public health. We look forward to Winnie’s leadership during her year as interim director. Michael will return to his Faculty Director role for the 2021-2022 academic year.
